Circular on the Organization of the 2013 Volunteers Photo Contest for International Volunteer Chinese Language Teachers

To record the splendid moments of work and life of volunteer Chinese teachers working abroad, and to present their colorful lives, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) is going to hold the 2013 Volunteers Photo Contest for international volunteer Chinese language teachers.

Two categories of entries will be involved in the contest: Photo Story and Single Photo. Photo Story refers to a series of photos based on the same theme, which reflect the work and life of volunteers as well as what they see and feel from both real and diverse perspectives. Single Photo can be subdivided according to two themes: teaching shots and cultural exchanges. The awards include the Grand Award, Best Popularity Award, “My Dream to Promote Chinese Language” Special Award, as well as the First, the Second, and the Third Prize, and Excellence Award. Awards and certificates will be presented to prize winners. Current and previous volunteers, together with the institutes they come from or teach at, are all welcome to submit their photographs.
