First Certificate-granting Ceremony Held at Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka

From 25th to 28th.June, 2018, the first Certificate-granting Ceremony was held in classroom No.203 in the building of the Faculty of Political Science by CI at the University of Banja Luka for the students having finished their first Chinese Language Certificate-granting program.

Ljiljana Stevi?, Home Director, and Cai Ying, Chinese Director, and all the Chinese language teachers participated in this ceremony and extended their congratulations to the students.

Closing Ceremony for the First Chinese Certificate-granting Program

At the ceremony, all the students showed part of what they learnt by counting numbers, greeting each other and asking each other about names and nationalities.

The student Representative, Sonja Stanojevi?, delivered a brief conclusion speech. She stated that it was her first time to learn Chinese language, and after the one-month program, she learned about some interesting Chinese cultural stories and could have a simple conversation in Chinese now.

The survey showed that the students were satisfied with Chinese teaching strategies and expressed their willingness to continue learning Chinese language and culture.

Professor Ljiljana Stevi? delivered sincere congratulations to all the students and encouraged them to speak Chinese and learn more.Then the teachers, Anja Mudrenovi? and Gao Yang, gave each student a Chinese name, and presented the certificates to all the students who have successfully completed the program and took photos together.

The CI at the University of Banja Luka currently offers a series of language courses such as Chinese Enlightenment programs for kindergarten kids, Chinese Language Interest Programs for Primary School students, Chinese Language Certificate-granting program for University students and Middle School students, and Business Chinese programs for staff members from local Chinese enterprises. To meet the needs of citizens in Banja Luka, Taichi course is also offered since June,2018. In the near future, the CI at the University of Banja Luka will offer intermediate and advanced Chinese Courses as well as other cultural courses such as Tea Ceremony and Chinese Calligraphy, etc.
